Since 2017, Falcon has been the sole source provider of Quality Assurance Testing Services in support of the airport’s improvement projects. Teamed with Parsons as RDU’s Owner Representative, the task orders completed thus far include the Taxiway A (Alpha) Rehabilitation, the Taxiway F (Foxtrot) Rehabilitation, the Taxiway B (Bravo) Rehabilitation, the Runway 5L-23R Rehabilitation, the Runway 14-32 Rehabilitation, West RON Apron, Terminal 1 Gate A1-A4 Activation, Economy Lot 3 Rehabilitation, the John Brantley Boulevard and Cemetery Road Rehabilitation.

Our QA program for RDU includes an onsite testing lab for testing of concrete and soils. Our accredited onsite lab capabilities include concrete curing, compressive strength and flexural testing; soils testing to include proctor sampling, Atterberg Limits, gradations, and lime and cement stabilization testing. Our field testing QA program includes testing of concrete, asphalt and soils testing in the restricted access airfield side environment following strict security protocols as well as meeting the stringent FAA project test requirements.
