Job Description: We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Geotechnical Engineer – Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and overseeing geotechnical projects, ensuring they meet all safety and regulatory standards.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct geotechnical investigations and site assessments
- Prepare detailed engineering reports and design plans
- Collaborate with project managers and other engineers to ensure project success
- Oversee construction and ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications
- Provide technical support and guidance to other geotechnical staff
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical, Civil, or related engineering field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering
- Transportation industry experience required, NCDOT experience strongly preferred
- Understanding of deep foundation design principles
- Proficiency in geotechnical software and tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
