Matt’s role at Falcon: Construction Inspector
What did you want to be when you grew up?
A Herpetologist
Tell us about what you enjoy doing outside of work.
I really enjoy the sport of Olympic weightlifting, golfing, and fishing.
Where is the best place you’ve traveled to and why?
I’ve actually been to all of the lower 48 states, and the coolest place to me was the Black Hills of South Dakota and Eastern Wyoming. The landscape in that region is unlike any other.
What’s the weirdest job you’ve ever had?
Sandblaster. I’m still shaking sand out of my wallet that got in there from years ago.
What do you enjoy most about working at Falcon?
I really enjoy all that I have learned since I have been here. I have expanded my knowledge of welding and steel inspection, and everything I know about concrete and soil has been taught to me since I have been here. It seems there is never a shortage of things to learn in this industry. Plus all the people I get to work with at Falcon are both knowledgeable and fun to be around.
“Matt Cyran joined us about a year ago, and has completely excelled at his capabilities and what he has brought to our team. Just a few months into coming on board, Matt began studying to become a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) and successfully passed. He is now one of two Certified Welding Inspectors here at Falcon. Matt has also become a key member of our team for all of the current RDU projects. Matt will be performing overnight steel welding inspections for RDU soon. Always willing to pitch in and do the job well, we are very pleased to have Matt as a part of the Falcon Family. He is a tremendous asset for us.” – Patrick Clark, Construction Services Manager
