October 23, 2018 – The Town of Cary is relocating Fire Station 9 to 1427 Walnut Street. The current Fire Station 9, built in 1974, and originally designed as Fire Station 2, has reached the end of its useful service life and can no longer meet the demands of the growing community. The new fire station will be approximately 17,597 square feet with two stories and three bays. Today the groundbreaking was held where city officials, members of the design and construction team, as well as citizens of the Town came out to celebrate and witness the kickoff of what will be a great new building for the Fire Department and ultimately the Cary community. Falcon is pleased to be part of this project, providing materials testing and special inspections during construction.
