Falcon was in attendance for the groundbreaking of Lyons Farm Elementary School yesterday. Members of the Lyons family were also in attendance to witness and participate in what was surely a momentous occasion for them, and the residents of Durham.

Per Durham Public Schools, the new school is named after the Lyons Family who once owned the 50+ acre farm on which the school will stand. They were one of the many African American families that contributed to the growth and economic opportunities for Durham.

Falcon will be providing materials testing and inspections for the new facility. We are honored to be working alongside other members of the project team including Davis Kane Architects and Monteith Construction, as well as Durham Public Schools, to bring this project to fruition.
