Project Description

This state-of-the-art facility houses Campbell University’s School of Osteopathic Medicine, the first new medical school built in North Carolina in 35 years. Falcon provided special inspections and construction materials testing services during the construction of the 75,000 sf building, which includes two separate wings. The project also includes associated paved roadway and parking areas, underground utilities, and sidewalks. The primary framing system of the building consists of structural steel supporting concrete slabs-on-deck. The foundation system consists of shallow spread footings. Two stair towers, situated at the opposite ends of the two wings, and an elevator shaft at the northeast corner, consist of masonry construction.
